Geoff Wheeler, Infinite Potential

Geoff Wheeler

Geoff has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for 20 years.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Saint Louis University in 2004 and his master’s degree from The Ohio State University in 2009. Geoff initially worked as a therapist in the home through Missouri First Steps providing Discrete Trial Training to help children build and develop their basic communication and learning skills. A passion for developing and adjusting the instructional programming for the learners and having the chance to coach others inspired him to return to school to complete his master’s degree and attain eventual Board Certification.

Since becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Geoff has worked with children of all ages in homes and schools using behavior analytic principles to help replace interfering behaviors with adaptive functional skills that meet the same needs for the learners. He has developed methods and strategies for scaffolding complex academic and behavioral concepts and trained teachers, caregivers, and other stakeholders on how to use them. His time in private and public schools over the past ten years has provided him with valuable experiences that have continued to develop his understanding of the importance of equity and trauma-informed care in all decisions, and he incorporates these principles into every intervention he creates and all guidance that he provides. Geoff passionately believes in the power and importance of proactive strategies and support when addressing meaningful behavior change and that everyone (students and adults) wants and deserves to feel successful and valued at school.

Outside of work, Geoff loves to travel, play basketball and piano, and spend quality time with friends and family.

Jennifer Garmirian, Infinite Potential

Jennifer Garmirian

With more than twenty years of experience in education, Jennifer began her journey with an undergraduate degree in psychology. Her initial role at an educational collaborative sparked her passion for teaching. During her first year in the classroom, she pursued a master’s degree in special education and administration, recognizing the importance of understanding the teacher’s perspective before making impactful administrative decisions.

Committed to supporting students in underserved districts, Jennifer specializes in inclusive education and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), advocating for the least restrictive environment for all learners. Jennifer has been a pioneering force in the field of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), developing comprehensive systems for public districts and charter schools. She has successfully created universal screeners and interventions that are tailored to meet the diverse needs of students from various backgrounds, particularly those facing inequitable access to quality education. Her innovative approach ensures that all students receive the support they need to thrive, demonstrating her commitment to equity and excellence in education.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys traveling to gain new perspectives, running to maintain balance, and cherishing time spent with family and friends.

After 13 years of collaborative work, we have forged a partnership rooted in shared expertise and a passion for student success and equity in education. Having witnessed firsthand what proves effective and what falls short, we’re thrilled to share what we have learned with educators and students who stand to benefit most from our experience and insight. We are drawn to consultancy and collaborative partnerships with educators as it affords us the freedom to unleash our creativity, and operate with flexibility, while prioritizing the vital goal of ensuring that those we serve are fully engaged and derive tangible benefits from our comprehensive Tier 1 through Tier 3 interventions.

Our previous experiences have given us a deep understanding of MTSS systems, enabling us to craft tailored solutions that resonate with schools across various social-economic landscapes, particularly those serving students who are at-risk.
We are committed to empowering educators and fostering equitable learning environments where every student can thrive.

MTSS Framework Services

Tier 1

Universal/Proactive/All Students

Classroom and school-wide proactive and preventative practices to support all students in the learning environment. These services are designed to promote positive outcomes addressing diverse needs and creating an inclusive and safe community where all students can thrive.

Tier 2

Targeted Interventions/Group

Targeted interventions provided to students who require additional services beyond universal support. These services are designed to address the specific needs of students who might fall behind as a result of academic, behavioral and social-emotional difficulties.

Tier 3

Individualized Access

These services represent the most intense level of support for students within the MTSS framework. They are tailored to meet the intensive needs of individual students who require interventions beyond and in addition to Tier 1 & Tier 2. These interventions are typically provided one-on-one or in a very small group and are characterized by their intensity and frequency.

Special Education

Students with Disabilities

These are the interventions that give students with special needs equitable access to the complete framework of tiered supports. They are individualized for each student based on needs and provided in the least restrictive environment. These services can be enhanced by supporting educational institutions in adhering to local, state and federal regulations.

“As an operations leader, I had the privilege of working alongside Geoff and Jennifer and witnessing their impact firsthand. They bring a deep understanding of both school leadership and special education support, with real-world experience on the ground. Geoff and Jennifer excel in establishing and maintaining systems that ensure compliance with local and federal special education regulations, always with a focus on collaboration. They firmly believe that special education is not siloed work—instead, true student success is achieved through active partnership with school staff and leadership teams. From my vantage point, their hands-on approach and holistic mindset consistently fostered inclusive, effective learning environments for all students.”

“I have worked with both Jennifer and Geoff individually and collectively for a few years now. They are both consistent, knowledgeable, reliable and kind. I have enjoyed and appreciated their honesty and efforts as we have collaborated through the years on various projects in special education. I value their input and I am grateful to have them to lean on professionally to answer any questions and/or to provide clarification of expectations especially when it comes to the MTSS process.”
